Jayce Salloum, a media arts philosopher and cultural worker, has been working in video since 1979, and installation, photography, mixed media and video since 1975, as well as curating exhibitions, conducting workshops and coordinating cultural events. After 22 years living and working in San Francisco, Banff, Toronto, San Diego, Beirut, and New York, Jayce Salloum is now based in Vancouver. His work critically engages itself in the representation of cultural/social/political manifestations and other cultures. The themes Saaloum works on include Lebanon and its history as constructed in our collective and individual psyches.
