Catcher in the Rhyme 2005
Flawful!
Flawful! – a mix of awful and contrary of flawless,
That’s me, the broken but glued ugly red vase in the corner,
Sold at a discount even at Oxfam,
Unpicked up even my the hoards of Elenor Rigbies visiting,
Looking for odd numbered sets of mismatched coffee cups,
Unwanted by the wanabee Kate Mosses studying psychology,
Until they become famous of course – where they can drop everything,
Only to pick it up when their modeling career wanes at 35 –
“She’s back to university at 35!” Will scream the tabloids,
Only to add “Hot romance with pre-teen on campus” the next week,
It is I, the unpicked, the great unwashed, the Indian “untouchable”,
I am so “flawful”, but like it that way.
