“I never follow these safety instructions!”
“I can fully sympathize with that, honestly they never made much sense to
me. Unless they give me that jacket to try it on, no matter how many times
they demonstrate it, it still would not make sense!”
“Besides, if I were to die, I’d have done so ten years ago.”
“Why, what happened ten years ago…”
“I still have the receipt from the coffin they bought to burry me in… And the
first thing I said when I went out of the coma was – I am not dead, yet.”
“Jesus! What happened?”
“Well, if you were to have a cry of exclamation, it would be “Moses” and not
Jesus – I’m jew!”
“Sorry I offended your sensibility.”
“Don’t you worry, well, I was doing this huge government project, managing
some ninety people and we finished it four months in advance, and we had
run out of space to put all these papers in, and so the engineers put scaffold-
ings in that warehouse. And so the last day I was double checking some stuff,
and the screws were not too tight, and so I fell from sixty feet high!...”
“Moses!”
“Haha! You learn quick!... Well, anyhow, it took a long time between opera-
tions and whatever have you but they patched me up. All of this could have
turned me into a bitter person but it didn’t. I took it as an interesting chal-
lenge. And best of all I got to have all the treatment for free because they tried
two new arthritis medicines on me. They still call me “miracle boy” when I
walk in the hospital center that treated me. On my fiftieth birthday, the man-
ager of the whole hospital called me to wish me a happy birthday and said
he’d never thought he would actually see me turn fifty.”
“You don’t look fifty!”
“How nice of you to say that!”
“You look older!”
“You crack me up!... Good one. Is that the fourth sugar you are putting in
your coffee? What are you drinking? Coffee flavored sugar? “Suggaricino”?...
Starbucks should think of launching such a product!”
“To be honest now, you don’t even look… Broken!”
“Well yeah, they did such a wonderful job on me putting me back together, if
I don’t tell the story, no one would know!”
“I am glad you are so positive about things…”
“Well, last year I was in NY and I was going out of a cab and a car hit me.
I had to do a knee replacement surgery… Everyone thought it would be the
last straw for me. That I’d get severely depressed. But I didn’t. Because the
most difficult part about the first accident was learning how to walk again, I
was determined to remain strong. I was not going to lose my feet now after
all the effort!... What’s this on your ear? A hearing aid? How eerie!... Pardon
the pun! I guess I’d better stretch my feet a little... Would you mind letting me
out into the aisle?”
Pasta salad with salmon, chicken with Riesling wine sauce, rice and broccoli,
cheese, entremets, oatmeal raisin cake, coffee. We apologize if your choice
is not available. An assortment of beverages will be available between meals
in the self-service areas. Depending on the flight, we will sever breakfast or a
light meal before arrival.

“Oh my God Tarek, is that you?”
“Hey, aren’t you in the wrong country or something? Weren’t you supposed
to be in Abou Dhabi or something?”
“Yes, I was in Paris, I was visiting Lucien!”
“Yes, I heard he was given only a few days by the authorities to leave Beirut,
he had to leaven in hurry.”
“We still have no idea how it all happened. Who snitched on him, and how
they knew he was in-between jobs. Anyhow things turned out for the best.”
“How so?”
“Well, coming to Paris made him realize how much he missed me. I mean me
being in Abou Dhabi and him in Beirut, it was still bearable. But when the
authorities told him to leave so quickly, all his life was changed from one day
to the next and he realized that within all these changes, he wanted me as part
of his life. So now we’re getting married… Actually, it was very “modern”
the way it happened: He proposed to me on MSN and we got engaged on
facebook.com! Modern day romance!”
Orange juice, coffee, fruit compote, farmer’s cheese, butter and preserves,
crepe with caramelized apples and simmered fruit. We apologize if your
choice is not available. An assortment of beverages will be available between
meals in the self-service areas. This menu is guaranteed to be served without
