Middles
No ends and no beginnings, just middles,*
I know it seems I am speaking in riddles,
Seek not clear cut answers,
Sometimes the question is all that matters.
Ask them not: “Why do you love me so?”
Just take comfort that in love, you were kept in the know,
When was this friendship born, and how long it will last,
Doesn’t matter, as long as the future is more important than the past.
Rejoice in the knowledge of all the love you had,
You gave some, took some, lost some, and it’s not that bad,
Don’t square the circle, and create none where there are no hurdles,
Even before you knew it, you’ll find yourself right there, in the middles.
