State of mind your own business

Great minds think alike,
And fools seldom differ,
Take this advice if you like,
Ditch it, and you won’t suffer.

Listen to me,
Or ignore me,
Just feel free,
See what you see.

You know what?
Me neither,
It could be either,
If we knew what.

Anything to declare?
Something totally rare,
Your genius, so Wilde,
Your nature, so wild.

Why have you not aged?
Is it a charade you staged?
Another Dorian Gray estranged,
Another passion disengaged.

I was seldom clever,
To believe in forever,
It’s the weekend,
And I am weakened.

I believe I mellowed,
Paranoid all the way,
I am being followed,
Shadows here to stay.

Kudos and praise,
And let us all rise,
For Narcissus is here,
And I hold him dear.

It is just my juvenile ego,
Suffocated by the superego,
A skewed sense of the id,
That won’t let me be.

Great minds think alike,
And fools seldom differ,
Take this for what it is,
And mind your own business.
