Thank you for breaking my heart

Thank you for breaking my heart,
I have never produced a better art,
It is only when the heart mends,
That creativity ceases and ends.

Forever keep me hungry,
And you’ll keep me angry,
A full stomach is never fertile,
An empty one never sterile.

Never give me satisfaction,
Always feeding my infuriation,
Never answer my needs,
For they’ll hinder my deeds.

On and on, keep me longing,
For what I feel missing,
For what I truly desire,
And my imagination will be on fire.

A rich artist is an oxymoron,
A satisfied one is a moron,
Tonight sadness makes sense,
And I live it in the present tense.

To feel happy for being sad,
Isn’t that like going slightly mad?
But goodness comes out of the bad,
And for being blue, I am oh so glad!

Thank you for breaking my heart…
